Michigan Churches File Religious Freedom Suit Against Governor Whitmer

A group of churches are suing Governor Gretchen Whitmer claiming the coronavirus restrictions hinder their religious freedom.

One of the names attached on the lawsuit is Stanley Chatfield III, a pastor for Northern Michigan Baptist Bible Church.

Stanley is the father of state Representative Lee Chatfield, the Michigan House Speaker.

President Trump Declares Houses of Worship "Essential" Places that Provide Essential Services

CDC issuing guidance at President Trump direction. President Trump said many governors gave exemptions to liquor stores and abortion providers as essential services but did not provide the same exemptions. The President said it is very important that governors open houses of worship immediately and if they do not, he will override governors. I'll update as soon as CDC guidance is issued.
