Federal Judge in North Carolina Issues Temporary Restraining Order against Executive Orders



The order from Judge James C. Dever III came days after two Baptist churches, a minister and a Christian revival group filed a federal lawsuit seeking to immediately block enforcement of rules covering religious services within the Democratic governor’s executive orders. Dever agreed with the plaintiffs, who argued that the limits violate their rights to worship freely and treat churches differently from retailers and other secular activities.

President Trump Declares Houses of Worship "Essential" Places that Provide Essential Services

CDC issuing guidance at President Trump direction. President Trump said many governors gave exemptions to liquor stores and abortion providers as essential services but did not provide the same exemptions. The President said it is very important that governors open houses of worship immediately and if they do not, he will override governors. I'll update as soon as CDC guidance is issued.
